The Sr. Health Coach is responsible for the management of the Health Education Program including the ability to assess health education and information needs for members and providers, develop appropriate learning materials and programs, assess program effectiveness and provide analytical summaries of program participation and effectiveness.
If you reside within the state of Maryland, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
- The Sr. Health Coach will maintain awareness of current health literature, best practices, and clinical quality measures
- Implement and evaluate completion of all phases of the Health Education Program Description
- Develop a process for members and providers to evaluation the Health Education Program annually to determine the impact of the Program on closure of gaps in care, community events, and outcomes
- Develop and/or provide health education material to a variety of customers
- Develop member/provider articles for the respective website
- Collect and trend health education from internal sources (Nurse Line, Marketing Community Events)
- Develop appropriate community events to address members with chronic conditions or in need of medical services
- Perform post-event evaluations and summarize findings
- Provide provider practice on-site health education upon request
- Act as a clinical quality health educator liaison with internal customers including but not limited to:
- Marketing
- Network Management
- Compliance
- Operations
- Utilization Management
- Attend Consumer Advocate Committee and Consumer Advisory Board Meetings as a representative of the Quality Department
- Work in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer to determine appropriate health education activities to close member gaps in care
Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of current health education experience as a RN or a certified health educator
- Computer proficiency in Word, Outlook, Internet, Excel, and Power Point
- Reliable transportation as role requires driving to attend meetings, etc. throughout the state of MD
- Familiar with Medicaid Guidelines
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Bilingual
