Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of corporate financial data within the general ledger, including reviewing, posting, and reconciling financial transactions. You will perform routine analysis of balance sheet accounts, make necessary adjustments, and address financial inquiries while adhering to U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies. The Staff Accountant will also play a key role in process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
The incumbent operates with minimal daily oversight, exercising independent judgment and significant decision-making responsibilities to fulfill job duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, reconcile, and post financial data from various systems into the general ledger.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies in balance sheet accounts promptly and accurately.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.
- Address financial inquiries and post correcting entries in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
- Work with complex accounting concepts such as foreign exchange, intercompany transactions, ASC 842 (leases), ASC 606 (revenue recognition), and other evolving accounting issues.
- Review profit and loss statements across entities and locations.
- Support Month-End and Year-End Close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Assist with audits by providing documentation and support for both internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting workflows to optimize efficiency.
- Handle ad-hoc projects, including special accounting tasks and system implementations.
- Serve as a backup for other team members and support cross-functional accounting initiatives.
- Proactively communicate any discrepancies or issues to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA designation preferred; experience in public accounting is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with SAP and/or BlackLine preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Practical experience applying U.S. GAAP to general ledger accounting.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and keep stakeholders informed.
- Full-time position, requiring a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Flexible work hours to complete all required duties, with remote work available on Fridays.
- Moderate noise level in a climate-controlled office setting.
- Regular activities include walking, sitting, using hands for typing or handling objects, reaching, talking, and hearing.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting financial documents, spreadsheets, and emails.
