Position: Staffing Coordinator

Location: Lakeland, Florida

Shift: Full Time

Salary: $23 - $26 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Staffing Coordinator to join our team at Charming Lakes Rehabilitation. In this vital role, you will manage the nursing schedules to ensure appropriate staffing coverage, coordinate timecards and attendance, and support nursing supervisors and staff in maintaining smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete monthly nursing schedules coordinating staffing requests to ensure coverage of all units.
• Approve weekly timecards for all nursing staff and submit to payroll.
• Maintain up-to-date contact information for all resident care employees.
• Track and maintain daily tardiness and absenteeism records; report concerns to the Director of Nursing Services (DON) per facility policy.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and DON to schedule modified work duty employees according to restrictions.
• Assist employees with completion of scheduling-related forms such as leave requests and timecards.
• Post work sheets and schedules; coordinate any variances with DON.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding staffing and scheduling.
• Ensure newly hired nursing staff have ID/timecards and schedules before orientation.
• Assist in gathering daily nursing care staff information for posting requirements.
• Consult with nursing staff and supervisors to identify and resolve staffing issues and improve services.
• Prepare written or oral reports and recommendations on staffing and scheduling to the DON.
• Review and report complaints and grievances related to staffing and scheduling.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines.
• Help maintain records of certifications and licenses for nursing staff.
• Provide coverage for Unit Secretary responsibilities during absences.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with office systems and applications.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Willingness to adopt new methods and integrate improvements into nursing staffing practices.
• Prior experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) staffing or a similar healthcare environment preferred.
