PART-TIME STOCKER/LOAD BUILDER position at our LAWRENCE AVENUE location in CHICAGO, IL.

What You Will Do and How You Will Contribute:
- Engage with customers, greet, and assist them to create a positive shopping experience
- Help customers find the right products, provide recommendations and offer solutions for their projects
- Stock and organize merchandise to maintain a clean, well-presented store
- Answer phone calls in a polite and timely manner, addressing customer inquiries
- Assist with inventory-related tasks, including performing cycle counts, verifying stock levels and maintaining accurate records
- Upsell related items and promote the Do It Best reward program to build loyalty
- Follow company standards and procedures to ensure smooth store operations
- Process checkouts accurately, adhering to proper cash handling procedures
- Continuously expand knowledge of products across all departments to enhance service and identify selling opportunities
- Address and resolve customer issues with management support
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Complete all assigned training to stay up-to-date with product knowledge and company policies
- Assist in other departments/functions as needed to provide great customer service
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management
What You Will Bring to Our Team:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency in using computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Previous retail or related industry experience is a plus
- Familiarity with cycle counting or inventory processes is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet customer needs
- Ability to be a team player, help out wherever needed and contribute to a positive work environment
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate customer needs and provide effective solutions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, staying flexible and adaptable
- Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25-50 lbs, bend, twist, squat, and reach throughout your shift
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as required by the business
