Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently hiring a Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our Division’s Global Supply Chain team.
This position is based on site for a hybrid role in Dulles, VA or Gilbert, AZ. No relocation will be provided. This is not a teleworking position.
Job Duties:
- Define and execute the material strategy, aligning supply resources with corporate objectives and product line priorities.
- Lead demand‑supply planning with MRP tools; aggregate forecasts, assess purchase‑material positions, and produce rough‑cut capacity and production schedules.
- Optimize inventory across dependent and independent BOMs, adjusting supply requirements to balance service levels, working capital, and stock‑out risk.
- Conduct make‑vs‑buy analysis and manage product phase‑in, phase‑out, manufacturing ramp‑up, and end‑of‑life transitions.
- Partner with sourcing, operations, and finance to synchronize inventory targets, resolve non‑standard part requirements, and mitigate critical‑path procurements.
- Support long‑term capacity and resource planning to accommodate new product introductions while maintaining efficient utilization of existing assets.
Basic Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree and 8+ years of supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, procurement, logistics or other relevant experience. Or in lieu of a degree, 12 years of supply chain, contracts, subcontracts, procurement, logistics or other relevant experience
- Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system
- MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or defense company.
