Description:

The main focus of this role is to develop and maintain policies related to medication management.

This role requires 10-20% of travel within the state to other IU Health sites.

Provides functional guidance to pharmacy students and new employees and may provide daily guidance and supervision of assigned staff. Develops and implements training programs for pharmacists and technicians. Oversees policies and procedures. Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory agencies including, but not limited to State Board of Health, State Board of Pharmacy, JC and other programs. Responsible for supervision of instructional/development personnel, curriculum design and implementation and other related duties.

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Advanced degree (PharmD; MS; MBA) preferred.

  • Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist.
  • 5-7 years experience as a pharmacist is required.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing drugs and narcotics is required.
  • Knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines is required.
