The main goal of this position is to ensure that our scholars have a safe and clean learning environment. We want to inspire and prepare each and every scholar to achieve their dreams As an Assistant Coordinator, you will be responsible for training, supervising, and evaluating our custodial staff. You will work closely with our facilities operations management team and industry experts to make sure we have the right equipment and tools to efficiently maintain our facilities Here are some of the key responsibilities for this position: - Designing and conducting training programs for new custodial hires - Assessing and recommending equipment needs for custodial and maintenance work - Ensuring new hires are aware of workplace safety policies and procedures - Communicating housekeeping standards and methods to custodial staff - Collaborating with stakeholders to establish sustainable housekeeping standards - Setting goals, making observations, and assessing the performance of custodians - Inspecting the quality of custodial work at all sites - Conducting research to improve housekeeping methods - Performing routine performance evaluations for custodial staff - Coordinating summer cleaning programs and annual district-wide custodial staff trainings - Mapping facilities maintenance and upkeep - Maintaining preventive maintenance standards at all sites - Directing special services teams and coordinating painting and carpet replacement schedules - Hiring new custodial team members in accordance with union agreements - Organizing regular meetings with building engineers to address common areas of interest To be considered for this position, you should have a high school diploma or GED. You should also have at least eight years of experience in housekeeping and facilities equipment management. Additionally, you should have at least five years of management experience or a combination of a college degree and relevant experience In terms of physical requirements, you must be able to do all the physical activities required of a custodian. You should also be comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights We offer a competitive salary range of $90,433 to $102,462 per year. This is a full-time position with a work schedule of 225 days per year.
