**Verasonics is hiring a full-time Technical Writer based out of our office in Kirkland!**

Responsibilities

  • Writes and edits technical documents including reference manuals and product manuals, and user-facing documentation.
  • Writes and edits procedural documentation such as user guides, manuals, and application notes.
  • Determines the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements.
  • Meets with scientists, engineers, programmers, project managers, sales & marketing to learn about specific products.
  • Research product samples to fully understand product.
  • Assesses the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjusts tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.
  • Plans writing processes and sets timelines and deadlines.
  • Creates or works with scientists, engineers and graphic designers to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
  • Gathers feedback from customers, designers, scientists, sales & marketing to improve technical documents.
  • Expert in the ongoing use and maintenance of content management systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with Content Management Systems, specifically MadCap Flare is required**.**
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing or related field required.
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills.
  • 3+ years of related experience writing and editing technical documents preferable in engineering, scientific or highly technical organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Visio or other technical drawing software required.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and customer success teams on product and documentation requirements.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information correctly and concisely.
  • Background in Engineering is a plus.
