As Chemical Technician, we have two primary functions and roles dedicated to this posting - Process Applications & Water Treatment.
For one, you will provide onsite services by measuring, testing and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specific product and practical recommendations for controlling fluid properties. You'll maintain fluid properties on rig sites by testing fluid properties accurately, maintain inventory at customer well sites, and provide effective customer service by providing rig-site customers and coordinators information regarding the progress of a rig site and create/implement solutions to rig site problems. All will be performed under minimal supervision.
For the other role, you will manage, monitor and optimize the use of specialty chemicals within the industrial site/s. In this role, you'll plan & install new chemical applications and work collaboratively with the site team & client operations personnel to drive safe and efficient operation. This will be performed under supervisor direction.
May make sales calls on the field and field office level or accompany Sales Representative performing the same function. Provide ongoing support to assist operations in providing our customers the most effective, environmentally safe drilling fluids available while optimizing the well-bore construction process and maximizing our customers' production. Performs other related duties as required. Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

As a Chemical Services Technician, you could also be responsible for:
- Making sales calls on the field and field office level, or accompany the Sales Representatives on calls as needed.
- Providing ongoing support to assist operations in providing our customers the most effective, environmentally safe drilling fluids.
- Maintaining chemical and inventory surveillance and operating functions to ensure correct rates of operation
- Maintaining and repairing chemical injection systems to ensure operational reliability.
- Troubleshooting and correcting customer systems to resolve production related challenges and to ensure optimization of chemical applications
- Implementing, monitoring, and assessing chemical injection systems and finished fuel additives to ensure customer quality
- Providing technical guidance for mobilization, transfers, and demobilization of chemical injection systems to ensure safety and performance
- Placing orders of products and chemicals for customers to ensure required inventory and stock levels
- Working and acting in a safe and deliberate manner to ensure HSE compliance at all times which will include safe and reliable chemical transfers
To Be Successful In This Role You Will
- Have a technical diploma, Degree or equivalent, related work experience
- Show good, general technical knowledge of company's products and services and their applications to customer needs and requirements
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Working at elevated heights & climbing barrel ladders
- Experience collecting and analyzing of samples
- Show a good understanding of IT such as MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Chemical handling experience
- Be able to pass a background and drug test
