Therapist, Pediatric Day Treatment, MSW, LPC, CTRS, LSW, LPCC, BSW, LISW, LCDC Preferred
Kids Thrive is currently recruiting Therapists or Counselors for our Pediatric Day Treatment program.
The Role
The therapist acts as a representative of treatment staff and engages clients in treatment. The therapist is also responsible for coordination of aftercare referrals and resources, family treatment and engagement.

With several Ohio locations, our behavioral health program specializes in treating symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and other mental health crises. Utilizing a blend of group therapy and individual treatment, our center provides a safe, therapeutic space. Our team of highly trained clinicians and behavior health technicians work closely to develop and oversee individualized care plans, with the goal of building the skills needed for individuals to integrate safely back into regular community settings.

Job Requirements
Education
- Master’s in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling; Completion of licensure in one of the following;
- BSW
- LSW/LISW
- LPC/LPCC
- Demonstration of group facilitation skills, knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatments
- An understanding of mental health conditions in children
- At least one year of experience in a mental/behavioral health setting preferred
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.
- Adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines affecting the work environment, as well as maintenance of required competencies and communications skills.
- Assumes primary responsibility for assigned client caseload.
- Completes intakes and assessments for the program
- Provides individual, family, and group therapy for clients and documents the process in the client record.
- Acts as liaison between referral sources and clients
- Conducts family interviews and provides referrals to appropriate resources
- Provides crisis intervention to clients as needed
- Plans aftercare for assigned clients to include case management
- Acts as liaison with insurance carriers as needed
- Completes Diagnostic Assessments, Treatment Plans, and discharge summaries within specified timelines as per policy
- Performs other duties as assigned
