The UAA Community and Technical College (CTC) is recruiting for a Program Assistant for the University Studies Department. This positions provides support for the Quantitative Studies, Communication, and Writing programs.

This position supports the Tier 1, UNVI, and Community and Technical College (CTC) programs associated with lower division students throughout UAA.

To thrive in this role, the applicant must have good people skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills. There is some computer work that includes website maintenance, like so, solid computer skills are helpful.
Interpersonal and public relations skills to work well with staff, faculty, students, and general public, Excellent verbal, electronic, and written communication skills to include grammar, punctuation and spelling. Excellent telephone etiquette. Knowledge of advanced computer programs and operations. Knowledge of design and maintenance of websites.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school Diploma or GED required and two (2) years office/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of computer databases, work processing skills, publisher and graphics programs.

Position Details:

This position is located at the UAA campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 76, based on education and experience.
