Summary:

ASM Global, the world leader in venue management, has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Usher at SNHU Arena. This position is an essential part of the guest services team, responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all guests. The Usher is responsible for properly greeting and checking guests' tickets as they enter seating and other areas of the facility. Ushers also direct guests to their seats and assist with wayfinding to services around the arena, including restrooms, concessions, first aid, and other event-specific locations, as directed by the Usher Supervisor and House Manager. Under direct supervision, the Usher ensures crowd flow, provides event information, and enforces venue policies to enhance the guest experience. This is a part-time, event-based, hourly position, and assigned shifts may include days, nights, weekdays, and weekends. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, live event setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet all patrons upon entry to facility with excellent customer service.
  • Direct patrons to their correct location and/or seat in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Must provide the level of customer service expected by ASM which requires being helpful, patient, polite, and courteous to patrons always.
  • Verify tickets and direct the patrons to the proper entry at the facility.
  • Resolve patron complaints and/or problems. If a particular problem cannot be resolved, an on-site member of management or event security should be notified.
  • monitor assigned work area including patrons. If problems occur from patrons who are causing any disturbance during an event the Usher/Ticket Taker should immediately contact the nearest supervisor, event security, or police officer.
  • Maintain predictable and reliable attendance.
  • Wipe down the seats in the pavilion, check to make sure that the sections are clean and clear of debris and check for seats damage.
  • Check seating for lost articles.
  • Clean the pavilion by picking up cans, cups, and other debris at the end of events.

  • Good oral communication skills and the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Excellent hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Desire to work as a team.
  • Mature judgement and professionalism in handling all matters
  • High School diploma or GED
