Position Summary:

We are hiring a Senior Valve Technician to support operations at our new Mont Belvieu facility. This is a highly technical role focused on servicing, assembling, and automating industrial valves. The successful candidate must bring a minimum of 10-15 years of experience and a strong understanding of valve automation, instrumentation, torque calculation, and assembly practices.

You’ll work closely with valve manufacturers and leading actuation companies to provide optimized solutions tailored to end-user applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, service, and calibrate automated valve packages, including electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Support torque calculations for actuation sizing based on pressure class, media, and service conditions
  • Collaborate with actuation manufacturers (e.g., Bettis, Rotork, Limitorque, AUMA) to ensure proper sizing and configuration
  • Interpret valve specifications, datasheets, and technical drawings to build accurate assemblies
  • Lead assembly and functional testing of valves and actuators per customer requirements
  • Operate stand-up forklift to move material and stage orders
  • Participate in warehouse operations including shipping/receiving and staging inventory
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Provide occasional on-site service and technical support to customers


Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in valve and actuation service
  • Strong understanding of torque curves, sizing tools, and actuator selection
  • Familiarity with quarter-turn, multi-turn, and linear valve types
  • Experience reading electrical wiring diagrams and performing loop diagnostics
  • Proven ability to assemble valve/actuator packages accurately and efficiently
  • Mechanically inclined with high attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for field jobs


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or associate degree in instrumentation, automation, or mechanical disciplines
  • Experience with valve standards (API, ANSI, ASME,BS)
  • Knowledge of test and calibration equipment
