As we expand our global footprint, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will play a critical role in driving our growth strategy by identifying, assessing, onboarding, and managing strategic partnerships that align with our Issuer Solutions product roadmap and support organic growth across new markets and expanded buyer segments. This individual will lead a team of partner managers who are responsible for day-to-day relationship management with solution technology partners and enterprise strategic partners. • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of partner managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Assessment: Facilitate the initial risk assessment of potential partners, including financial viability, competitive positioning, and preliminary data/privacy risk reviews, in coordination with enterprise risk teams for further governance.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage financial aspects of partnerships, including revenue-sharing models, allocated development funding, co-marketing investments, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Partner Management: Oversee the lifecycle of strategic partnerships, ensuring alignment with business objectives, performance tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Risk teams to align partnership strategies with broader business goals.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies within the global payments ecosystem to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 12+ years in a related role within the payments, fintech, or financial services industry, with demonstrated success in strategic partnership management, business development, or corporate strategy.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the global payment ecosystem, including card processing, issuer solutions, and emerging payment technologies.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Analytical & Financial Acumen: Proficient in assessing financial risks and opportunities, negotiating commercial agreements, and managing complex partnerships.
  • Risk Management: Familiarity with enterprise risk frameworks, data privacy considerations, and compliance requirements within the payments industry.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
