  • Estimated annual base pay: $244,500(minimum) - $305,600(midpoint)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Vice President of Strategy Business and Development, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Vice President to join our publicly-listed company as a key member of our strategy and business development leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading business segment strategy and business development efforts, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. You will report directly to the Corporate Vice President for Strategy and Business Development and will have 2 teams of associate and analyst level individuals reporting to you. Your ultimate goal will be to drive growth, profitability and cashflow for our company while maintaining our position as a leader in our industry

  • Demonstrated leadership skills including strategic level thinking, member motivation / encouragement / training, process excellence, aligning / developing key stakeholders, incl. the Board of Directors.
  • Able to work with Corporate and Business Segment leaders to build focused business strategies that increase growth, profitability, and value for shareholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with peers and senior leaders in the company to ensure alignment and support for key initiatives.
  • Lead the business development team in identifying and evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture opportunities that will drive growth and profitability.
  • Capable of developing, leading, and securing /closing important M&A transactions by aligning strategy to financials to tactics and execution to integration in single connected process.
  • Deep experience in understanding sale and purchase agreements for M&A purposes, including the relevant aspects of the legal contracting and regulatory processes.

What We Are Looking For
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
  • Strong investment banking or finance background, with a proven track record of successful deal-making
  • Excellent communication / interpersonal skills, ability to build + maintain relationships with important stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to impact results/outcomes in positive manner
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand complex business issues and make informed decisions
  • MBA from a nationally recognized and leading graduate school required
  • 15+ years of experience in both strategy and mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures required
  • 15+ year proven track record leading/training people and business segment M&A strategy required
  • 15+ years of demonstrated ability to structure and close transactions consistently required
  • Analyst or associate training at Wall Street bank preferred
