Warehouse Assistant (Full-time Roxbury, MA)

Full-time

Rate: $23.00+/hr

Position Overview

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Maintains a positive work attitude by acting and communicating in a manner conducive to good interpersonal relations (e.g., helpful, courteous, pleasant) with customers, the public, co-workers, and managers, in accordance with the spirit of Cityscapes' mission.

Warehouse Assistant Laborer Responsibilities:

• Run company errands and transport materials between Cityscapes locations, vendor partners, job sites, and affiliated businesses (including The Root and Sprout), as well as pick up supplies from vendors such as Home Depot and other local suppliers.

• Deliver materials, equipment, or paperwork to installation crews, the main office, retail locations, and other business partners as needed.

• Ensure warehouse, yard, and building security by following opening and closing procedures, including locking up the facility when required.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the warehouse, workspaces, vehicles, and outdoor storage areas.

• Organize, sort, and store inventory in designated warehouse and yard locations.

• Pull, stage, assemble, and prepare materials for installation crews based on daily work orders.

• Restock returned inventory and update inventory records as needed.

• Perform daily warehouse and yard maintenance, including organizing storage areas, sweeping, cleaning, disposing of debris, and maintaining a safe, orderly work environment.

• Assist with general facility maintenance projects, including helping unload vendor deliveries, organizing materials, and supporting warehouse operations as business needs require.

• Conduct yourself in a professional, dependable, and safety-conscious manner at all times.

• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, organization, and operational processes.

• Perform additional duties, special projects, and operational support tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Must possess a high degree of organizational skills and professionalism
• Team-oriented and possesses the ability to work collaboratively with the operations department, installation & exterior departments, sales/client representatives, and office staff
• Proficient verbal and interpersonal skills
• Effective communication and follow-through a must
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles for occasional errands and material transport preferred

Working Conditions:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; standing for long periods of time; stretching, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

Medium to heavy physical requirements.

The ability to remember information such as words, numbers, pictures, and procedures; to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences; to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand; and to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
