This is an exciting time to join the Children's renowned nursing team, as we prepare to grow and move into a new state-of-the-art building in just a few short years.



In this position, you will facilitate and manage ongoing department operations, including quality, service, fiscal, and human resources processes. As a member of the Children’s Hospitals Neonatal Consortium, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to engage in cutting edge research and best practices. You will support and ensure that comprehensive patient care services are provided that uphold the integrity of the family system and patient care team. This includes proactively supporting efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.



Experience

2 years of experience in management/administration



Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical patient care experience

Experience in a level III NICU with strong preference for level IV NICU experience

Advanced education in business, management, or related field

Professional nurse certification

Experience in management in a healthcare setting

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) (check department-specific recommendation)



Education

Bachelor of Science in nursing

Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration or related advanced degree in health related field preferred



Certification Summary



  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment

  • Professional Nursing Certification required upon hire or within one year of hire
