
Service Repair Technician

Summary of Position:
- Receive and troubleshoot assemblies/products sent to factory for repair and/or warranty claims.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
- Clean and check assemblies/equipment to identify non-working status, defective parts or equipment and verify warranty.
- Operates powered industrial truck (forklift) to load and unload material.
- Recommend corrective services to resolve customer product complaints.
- Repair or replace defective assemblies/products.
- Perform repetitive mechanical assembly of simple electromechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies mechanisms and systems in accordance with production/engineering specifications, sketches or verbal instructions.
- Perform assembly work requiring a high degree of manual dexterity.
- Update and maintain product records relating to repairs, modifications and Return to Stock items.
- Keep track of inventory in work area and notify supervisor when material is needed.
- Create and distribute work orders for internal manufactured items.
- Observe and comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
Other Responsibilities and Functions:
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by team lead, supervisor or Focus Factory Manager.
- Maintains clean, orderly and safe work area.
- Maintains a commitment to teamwork and a positive, supportive attitude to all personnel.
- Supports continuous improvement activities (DBS).
Education and Experience:
- Education: High School or equivalent
- Experience: Three years minimum work experience, preferably in an Manufacturing work environment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of assembly/repair process.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions, specifications, blue prints or sketches
- Excellent communication skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Office tools.
Pay Range: $19-$21/hr.
