We are seeking a Purchasing Manager for a newly created position that will head up the strategy and process of our procurement space. Working with both direct materials and services, the ideal candidate will come from a strong background in the pharmaceutical or biotech space. Our company is growing quickly, and this purchasing manager will help to grow the function to support the organization. We need an experienced procurement and sourcing professional with the ability to work cross-functionally, be creative and innovative, and highly organized.



What Will You Do


  • Heading up the procurement space of the company including procurement, vendor management, inventory management and planning

  • Coordinate with suppliers, operations, project managers, and other appropriate stakeholders as necessary to monitor supply, identify potential problems, and resolve issues that may prevent on-time delivery for our programs

  • Collaborate with external sourcing partners to ensure the optimal balance of supply assurance, supply quality and cost. Have a strong understanding and knowledge of ERP system

  • Develop strong procurement processes and implement new practices

  • Adhere to and enforce ArsenalBio's purchasing policies and procedures in compliance with the Board approval system.

  • Align procurement practices and supply chain in support of the business strategy

  • Review and update open purchase orders as needed and resolve discrepant orders in the system immediately

  • Resolve discrepancies with internal customers, vendors, and accounting

  • Process and order approved supplies and convert an approved purchase requisition into a purchase order



What You Will Bring


  • Bachelor's degree ideally in related discipline, Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering

  • 8+ years' of experience in Production Planning, Purchasing, and/or Procurement using ERP systems in a GMP environment, Pharma/Biotech industry experience preferred.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.

  • APICS/ISM (CPSM)/Supply Chain certification preferred.

  • Advanced materials management skills including Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Contract Administration Inventory Control, Supplier Selection and Technical Development, Transactional Management.

  • Experience procuring within a GMP manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to communicate in a professional and efficient manner at all levels of the company.

  • Strong project management skills with accurate attention to detail. Exceptional negotiation skills.

  • High energy, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive and professional demeanor.

  • Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, changing and dynamic environment.

  • Applicable experience in identification and implementation of SCM best practices and industry standards.
