The Financial Analyst supports the Finance Manager of the Technology organization. The Financial Analyst will be directly involved areas regarding forecasting/budgeting, analytics, and reporting specifically surrounding various Technology lines. This role will include providing variance analysis expenses including all costs, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. The Financial Analyst must have strict attention to detail and an ability to set and meet tight deadlines will be critical for success.

Position Responsibilities

  • Support financial close by attending monthly close meetings, assisting with the booking of accruals, assisting with reconciling budget, forecast variances to actual results, and preparation of variance reports

  • Support all components of budget/forecast for all expenses in areas of ownership, including actively pursuing new/innovative ways of improving business process

  • Partner with Finance (including Accounting and other BP&A members) and Departmental business partners to effectively manage all finance activities including forecasting, and improvement of business process and tools.

  • Monitor and review spending, identify trends/issues and lead resolution of problems

  • Perform ad hoc analysis to drive data decision making for the leadership team

  • Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the strategies, business issues, risks and profitability opportunities

  • Support Technology Leadership by providing monthly reporting and guiding them through their results

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of related business experience, ideally with proven experience in forecasting, budgeting, and monthly close activities

  • Intermediate accounting knowledge required

  • Excel financial modeling skills and Financial Systems, SAP, and Anaplan a plus

  • Requires a self-starter, ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively

  • Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational and task management skills

  • Ability to partner cross functionally with all levels of the organization

  • Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented

  • Proven ability to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business decisions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
