As a valued colleague on our team, you will assist with planning, executing, and reporting financial, operational and compliance related audits/projects to facilitate compliance with regulatory standards and enterprise procedures.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Associate role in our Internal Audit department will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
Gather audit evidence from process and control owners.
Assess process risks and controls.
Perform control design assessment and test control operational effectiveness to identify potential process improvements.
Develop conclusions based on outcome of work and data to provide recommendations and support business partners in achieving their objectives.
We currently have openings on our Internal Audit Single Family, Multifamily, Finance, and Capital Markets teams.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Bachelor degree or equivalent
Audit or risk management experience preferred
The group of skills related to communication, including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
Experience in the process of gathering and analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data and to explain concepts and answer critical questions.
Skilled in creating visual concepts, creating content, and editing content by hand or with the help with computer software to communicate ideas.
Knowledge of the audit life cycle, including planning, design assessment, operating effectiveness testing, reporting and issue monitoring.
Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal.
The group of skills related to Relationship Management, including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
Skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in TeamMate for audit solutions, preferred but not necessary
Opportunities available in our Washington, DC and Plano, TX office locations. We are also considering remote candidates.
