We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative who will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships in the Ohio area. This role will require periodic visits to the company offices, but can generally be performed remotely.

With Customers You Will:

  • Educate customers on proven road maintenance strategies, technologies and emerging trends

  • Help customers optimize their roadway infrastructure investments to create a higher ROI on taxpayer dollars

  • Recommend product solutions to customers

  • Analyze and review roadways with or for customers

  • Conduct site visits of active jobs with customers and coordinate product demonstrations

  • Interview customers to better understand customer value and gain insights

  • Bring internal subject matter experts to help solve top customers’ problems

  • Create plans to develop your territory and increase customer loyalty

With Internal Teams You Will:

  • Suggest ideas to continuously improve our sales processes and tools

  • Maintain sales data for your territory in our sales enablement system (HubSpot)

  • Analyze your territory results and make recommendations to improve the business

  • Communicate customer expectations to internal Estimators and Operations teams

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to improve our go-to-market strategies and tactics

The Perfect Person Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of field sales or account management experience

  • Current driver’s license and ability to drive on a regular basis

  • Ability to travel 35% to 40% of the time (overnight stay may be required)

  • Ability to build high trust relationships with government officials

  • Ability to conduct work safely around job sites with heavy equipment

  • Ability to develop a deep understanding about the technical aspects of products in the road construction and maintenance industry

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well and use a consultative approach

  • Strong technology skills using office productivity software and sales enablement systems

  • Ability to recommend improvements to standardize our sales processes

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and prioritize well

  • Ability to work independently and ask for guidance appropriately

  • Ability to read, write and speak English well
