About The Role

We are looking for an experienced brand designer to join our team. This role demands creative ideation, rapid iteration, and a love of craft and polish. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of brand strategy and visual identity, as they will be responsible for shaping and maintaining Cohere's brand presence across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the brand design process, ensuring visual consistency and brand integrity across all touch points.
  • Collaborate with product managers, researchers, engineers, and other team members to maintain a cohesive brand identity.
  • Work with stakeholders on the design team and beyond to gather insights to inform brand strategy and design decisions.
  • Maintain brand guidelines, style guides, and visual assets. Prototype and test new brand concepts through design tools and user feedback. Mentor and guide junior designers, contributing to the growth of the design team.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years years of experience in brand design, preferably in both tech, and non-tech industries. Agency experience is also welcome.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your typographic and layout skills, knowledge of color theory design process, problem-solving skills, and the impact of your work.
  • Proficiency in modern design software including Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite line of products.
  • Additional image-making competencies such as illustration or 3d work is a plus.
  • Experience with animation tools such as Rive or Lottie is also plus.
