Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our organization during an exciting period of growth and transformation. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and act as a strategic advisor to the President, CEO, Board of Directors, and investors. This individual will be responsible for driving financial strategy, capital planning, operational efficiency, and risk management to support the company's vision and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Partner with the President and executive team to develop and execute long-term strategic plans.
- Lead financial modeling and scenario planning to evaluate growth initiatives, investments, and capital structure.
- Serve as a key advisor in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives.
Financial Management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and reporting processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements, KPIs, and board/investor materials.
- Lead the development of annual operating plans and long-range forecasts.
Capital Markets & Treasury
- Manage capital structure, cash flow, and liquidity to support company operations and growth.
- Maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, lenders, and financial institutions.
- Evaluate and optimize debt, equity, and working capital strategies.
Accounting, Tax & Compliance
- Oversee all accounting, tax, audit, and compliance functions, ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Coordinate external audits and internal controls to ensure financial integrity and transparency.
- Ensure robust systems and policies are in place to manage financial risk and corporate governance.
Operations & Business Partnership
- Provide financial oversight and performance insights to business units, helping to drive profitability and accountability.
- Implement cost control, margin improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Lead systems integration, ERP upgrades, or finance technology implementations as needed.
Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5+ years in a CFO or senior finance executive role.
- Position requires regular travel to our main Company office in Novi, MI.
- Proven success in a growth-oriented company; experience with private equity, public markets, or M&A preferred.
- Deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and legal/compliance frameworks.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, financial modeling tools, and BI dashboards.
