Cadence General, LLC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all field activities for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project fieldwork, including safety, environmental considerations, and subcontractor oversight. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Field Management: Assist and coordinate with the Project Manager/Project Coordinator to manage field personnel, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Mobilization and Demobilization: Organize mobilization and demobilization activities to ensure efficient use of resources and smooth project transitions.
  • Safety Oversight: Verify safety standards by examining and inspecting work progress and equipment, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers and subcontractors, maintaining high standards of performance and productivity.
  • Work Assignment: Assign work to employees based on material and worker requirements for specific jobs, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Hands-On Support: Assist workers engaged in construction or environmental activities using hand tools and equipment as needed to meet project goals.
  • Equipment Management: Arrange for repairs of equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure continuous project progress.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the project and the company.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Project Management Experience: Familiarity with project management methodologies and a strong understanding of construction processes and practices.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Skilled in maintaining cooperative working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and integrating team members to develop effective project plans.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions quickly.
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License required, and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company's Driving policy.
  • Screening: Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising or directing construction crews.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing safety performance in a construction environment.

Schedule

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Occasional over-time

Work Location:

  • Based out of Anchorage, AK.
  • Wasilla, AK 99654: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
  • Anchorage, AK 99503: Occasionally required to drive to our HQ.
