We are seeking a seasoned Content & Communications Strategist with over 5 years of experience in B2B content marketing and/or corporate communications. This role is pivotal in crafting narratives that resonate with target audiences and drive business results for a range of Fortune 500 clients.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of corporate environments. They regularly write for a wide range of audiences and stakeholders with varying priorities, whether through corporate communications, PR, marketing, content strategy, brand journalism or similar roles. They are highly rational and deeply curious about how things work, investing significant time and effort to learn their clients and becoming subject matter experts in their own right. They have experience translating complex and/or highly technical concepts into compelling content that is informative, concise, and actionable — and they know that effective strategy and messaging always win the day.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Content Development: Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies that align with business objectives and target audience needs.
- Corporate Communications: Write internal and external communications for our B2B clients, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal design and video teams and client marketing, sales, and product teams to develop content that supports various client initiatives.
- Thought Leadership: Position our clients (as well as Notion itself) as an industry leader through the development of whitepapers, case studies, and executive communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
- An MBA is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in content marketing and/or corporate comms.
- Proven ability to digest technical materials at speed, then use that knowledge to develop highly informative content strategies that drive business growth.
- Exceptional reading comprehension, research, writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity and impact.
- Client-Facing Communication: Demonstrated professionalism and strong interpersonal skills in both virtual and in-person settings, with the ability to confidently engage with clients, articulate ideas clearly, and build lasting relationships
- Marketing Campaign Writing:
- Experience crafting compelling copy for a broad range of campaigns and channels, including product marketing, digital presence, email marketing, social media, video scripts and more, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and objectives.
- Ability to develop content that supports the entire marketing funnel, from awareness to conversion, tailoring messages to different audience segments.
- Interest in AI and Efficiency:
- Keen interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance writing efficiency and accelerate creativity, staying abreast of emerging technologies in content creation
- Understanding of AI's role in streamlining content workflows, from ideation to publication, and its impact on productivity and content quality
- Expanded Tool Proficiency:
- Proficiency with content management systems and analytics platforms to monitor performance and inform content strategies.
- Familiarity with or interest in marketing and SEO tools to optimize content quality and reach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to write across multiple industries, brands, tones and content types
- Ability to represent Notion and our clients on client/customer calls, including interviewing subject matter experts, product managers, customers and more
- Experience writing sales decks, sell sheets, case studies, white papers, landing pages, social and more
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword research tools
- Experience in crisis communication and reputation management is a plus
