Job Description:

West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our dietary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents in accordance with prescribed diets and facility guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Review menus and prepare meals accordingly.
• Collaborate with the Food Service Manager and Dietitian to implement dietary changes as needed.
• Follow all established food preparation and sanitation procedures.
• Complete and submit necessary administrative reports and forms.
• Assist in maintaining a functional food service production line to ensure timely meal preparation.
• Accurately process diet orders and changes received from Nursing Services.
• Prepare and serve meals that are visually appealing and palatable.
• Ensure timely and proper portion-controlled meal service.
• Follow standardized recipes, including those for therapeutic and modified texture diets.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of cooking experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Ability to prepare a wide variety of foods in large quantities.
• Proficient in the use of commercial kitchen equipment and diverse cooking techniques.
• Knowledgeable about therapeutic diets and modified textures.
