The Kelso Industries company is comprised of 26 (and growing) market-leading operating companies with over 2,600 employees that deliver unmatched HVAC, mechanical, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical solutions. We are actively building the nation's preferred technical service partnership for commercial MEP+ ecosystems, empowering industrial, commercial, and institutional clients—including Fortune 500 companies and other industry leaders across the United States—with reliable, innovative service.

Kelso Industries is seeking multiple dynamic Divisional Vice Presidents (DVP) to drive operational and financial excellence across designated regions. Each DVP will be accountable for managing regional P&L performance, driving organic growth, ensuring seamless integration of acquisitions, processes, and systems. The DVPs will play a pivotal role in leading the region's strategic direction while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute regional strategies to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence in alignment with Kelso Industries' overall objectives.
  • Serve as a key decision-maker for the region, providing leadership and direction to operating companies within the portfolio.

Financial Management

  • Manage the P&L of the region, overseeing revenues, expenses, and profitability for operating companies.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the region and ensure delivery on financial commitments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability through operational efficiencies, cost management, and revenue enhancement strategies.

Growth and Integration

  • Drive organic growth by expanding market share, improving service offerings, and enhancing customer relationships.
  • Oversee the integration of new acquisitions, ensuring alignment with Kelso Industries' standards and values.
  • Implement and optimize processes, software, and support systems across the region to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across multiple operating companies.
  • Conduct regular talent reviews, succession planning, and employee development initiatives to ensure a robust leadership pipeline.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture that aligns with Kelso Industries' mission and values.

Operational Excellence

  • Standardize best practices across the region, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other RVPs and the executive leadership team to drive consistency and innovation across all regions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in the MEP industry experience.
  • Proven track record of managing P&L for a business or region exceeding $150M.
  • Proven track record of driving organic growth and improving profitability in a mid-to-large scale business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degrees in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
  • Experience in integrating acquisitions, including aligning cultures and implementing shared processes or technologies.
  • Familiarity with multi-entity operations or private equity-backed organizations.
  • Strong track record of identifying, mentoring, and developing high-potential talent within an organization.
