As a Senior Financial Analyst within Cleveland Clinic’s Research Financial Operations group, you will be placed primarily in the Academic Affairs department. In this role, your responsibilities include preparing the annual research operating budget, tracking research equipment purchases, handling ad-hoc financial data requests, creating financial presentations, and conducting monthly variance analysis. The goal is to develop well-rounded caregivers who will grow into future finance leaders within Cleveland Clinic.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Support core financial processes including the annual operating budget, long range financial forecast and month-end close activities.
- Complete project-based work supporting organizational initiatives, performance improvement, capital budgeting, strategic business planning and mergers and acquisitions.
- Prepare, analyze and communicate key financial information and provide support to management and other caregivers regarding financial reporting and other related issues.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes and budget review for compliance and opportunities.
- Serve as consultant to all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Complete special projects and duties including providing necessary research, forecasting and conflict resolution.
- Residence in the greater Northeast Ohio area.
- Awareness of complex key performance indicators, cash flow analysis, product line analysis and proposal development.
- Ability to complete basic analytical, consultative and information support through analysis and report preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in financial or revenue cycle management or general analytics OR a master’s degree and three years of related experience.
- Cleveland Clinic Finance Fellow experience may substitute one year of required experience.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
- In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
- In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
