Description

HyerTek is seeking an Instructional Designer to enhance content utilizing existing technology vendor materials and apply instructional design principles to improve learning outcomes for custom curricula for our clients. As a full-time member of our team, you will design and optimize learning experiences utilizing your in-depth expertise in instructional design, particularly with Microsoft technologies. Your primary focus will be on Power Platform, Copilot, and Dynamics, as well as building solutions for model-driven apps, Dataverse, and Power BI. You will utilize e-learning tools to create engaging and interactive learning experiences, adapting content to various delivery modalities, including virtual, hybrid, and self-paced formats.

In this role, you will partner with subject matter experts to enhance and customize Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) and other technical materials. You'll also ensure that training materials meet accessibility, compliance, and quality standards, while utilizing data and feedback to continuously improve training effectiveness, and evaluating the performance and effectiveness of your programs.

Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, or related field
• Instructional design certification (ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick, or similar methodology)
  
  

Instructional Design Expertise

• 4+ years of experience in instructional design for technical/professional training
• Expert knowledge of adult learning principles and learning theory
• Proficiency with instructional design models and frameworks
• Experience designing learning experiences for diverse skill levels and roles
• Assessment and evaluation design expertise
  
  

Technology Application Skills

• Advanced proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia)
• Experience with multimedia development (video editing, graphic design, interactive elements)
• LMS administration and SCORM/xAPI standards knowledge
• Proficiency with collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, project management platforms)
• Basic HTML/CSS for custom e-learning modifications
  
  

Content Adaptation & Enhancement

• Expert at taking existing technical content and applying instructional design principles
• Experience adapting Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) and vendor materials for specific audiences
• Skilled in restructuring content for different delivery modalities (virtual, hybrid, self-paced)
• Ability to enhance existing materials with interactive elements, assessments, and engagement strategies
• Experience customizing training materials for enterprise and government compliance requirements
