Midas Hospitality is a leading hotel development, construction, management, and investment firm with properties across the United States. We are seeking an Information Technology Director will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and operation for all of the Information Technology implemented within the Organization. The position is responsible for the daily operation, support, and security of the technology and data that support and enable the business operation. This individual will work with the Chief Operating Officer and Hotel Management to implement company-wide initiatives into the Hotels. This individual will maintain technologies implemented in effective working order and ensure system up-time and reliability meets the needs of the operation(s) as defined by management and the Chief Operating Officer.

What You Will Be Doing

  • IT HELPDESK/SUPPORT: Oversee and assist with all helpdesk operations for corporate office and 50+ hotels in a hosted Microsoft Exchange environment. Coordinate system installation and training. Manage company wide network infrastructure including firewalls, network equipment, workstations/laptops, guest networks, phone systems, company servers, software, VPN, anti-virus, backup solutions, enterprise applications, e-mail, etc.
  • STRATEGIC PLANNING: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with companies overall goals and objectives. This includes long-term planning for technological upgrades and innovations.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Oversee and assist with all IT project management. This includes, but is not limited to, development and build of new hotels, brand initiatives, and operational hotel upgrades.
  • SECURITY & COMPLIANCE: Secure the data and the IT systems against loss or attack by computer viruses or other external threats. Modify the IT security policy to protect corporate data on employees' mobile devices while ensuring the privacy of users' personal data. Ensure all hotel networks meet security compliance requirements particularly PCI & PII security and compliance. Enforce compliance and training standards through third-party partners.
  • PROCUREMENT: Manage Procurement process for all IT related products and services Midas Enterprises purchases. Maintain vendor contracts and relationships for all IT related agreements. Advise ownership of capital investment recommendations.
  • ADMINISTRATIVE: Maintain company asset inventory tracking and management. Prepare annual IT budget for all hotels. Prepare monthly IT billing statements which includes purchases, billable travel, e-mail/SaaS services.
  • LEADERSHIP AND TEAM MANAGEMENT: Lead the IT team. Manage helpdesk team members. Manage performance reviews, cultivate relevant job skills, and provide resources to encourage personal and professional development.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 4+ years IT management experience in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, service-oriented environment. Hotel IT support experience preferred.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Exceptional work ethic with a desire to complete tasks on schedule with excellence.
  • Experience managing projects in multiple states and regions.
  • Complete understanding of project cost, schedule, forecasting and construction processes.
  • Must be willing to travel (project-oriented), sometimes with short notice (25% travel anticipated).
  • Flexible and willing to make difficult decisions quickly.
  • Bright, confident self-starter with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead a team of direct reports.
  • Highly proficient with computers, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be familiar with a hosted exchange platform. Experience with Cisco Meraki hardware a plus
