Description

Work hard, have fun, and make history working with Amazon's Legal Department. We are looking for a smart and motivated individual to provide administrative assistance to our Business Conduct and Ethics team.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to work efficiently and independently; manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround; take effective action without having to know the total picture; and think creatively and be proactive in solving problems that affect people within the group or other related groups.

In addition, you must be a strong written and verbal communicator, with great attention to detail, and must be able to work independently in a constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, is essential. This position involves working with attorneys, business owners, and external representatives.

Key job responsibilities

  • Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up;
  • Drive individual projects across the program coordinating with key stakeholders;
  • Work closely with the Business Conduct and Ethics leadership team to provide drive deliverables and support the entire organization;
  • Coordinate contract approvals and execution;
  • Implement and support various legal tools, guidelines, training and process improvements;
  • Deliver results through cross functional collaboration with multiple Amazon internal teams;
  • Assist with high visibility and confidential compliance reporting;
  • Organize and execute a diverse range of team events, from social gatherings to large-scale staff meeting agendas, global team meetings, and off-sites; and
  • Performing general office tasks (such as calendaring, filing and budget tracking), and coordinating other legal and administrative matters with the business groups.

About The Team

The Business Conduct and Ethics team is responsible for managing and implement Amazon's conduct and ethics compliance program globally including policy management, training, communications, conflicts of interest, and investigations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of administrative assistant experience
  • 1+ years of professional or military experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
  • Experience in a technology company or other legal experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $43,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $92,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
