The Marketing Assistant supports the Marketing Director in the implementation of digital marketing strategy, creation of engaging content, and effective communication of studio happenings.
Roles & Responsibilities
Operations
- Follow and support Promotional Calendar, Content Calendar, and Event Calendar
- Take on assignments as needed to support Marketing Director
- Learn and maintain basic understanding of team tools and platforms
- Communication:
- Maintain consistent and clear communication with Marketing Director
- Consistently respond to social media messages/comments
- Attend pre-planned meetings
- Project Management:
- Uphold dependability in self-scheduling and weekly working hours
- Plan and execute needs with optimal lead times and flexibility
Marketing/Social Media
- Understand and effectively curate social media strategy with Marketing Director
- Collaborate with Marketing Director to optimize content that resonates with the audience and brand voice. This includes staying up to date with social media trends, tools, and policies.
- Post/schedule studio content (including promotional and event info) on social media regularly according to Content Calendar. This includes availability to attend special events for content collection.
- Uphold active engagement across all platforms
- Content Creation:
- Create and curate high-quality content in various formats (these include images, videos, and infographics that align with the brand’s voice). This may include some design.
- Plan, schedule and execute content collection/staff photoshoots.
- Collect, interpret, and effectively implement information from regular reporting
Required Skills
- Photography, design, and/or social media management experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to have a big picture view of the impact of social media brand awareness on the success of the studios
- Ability to understand and emulate brand voice
- Ability to balance many details, skillfully follow deadlines and requirements, take information from meetings and support a plan for execution.
- Ability to manage time/workflow, problem solve, own projects, and ask for help when/where needed.
- Ability to delegate and request information in a timely and orderly fashion (ex: If copy, a video, and photos are needed for you to design and schedule a post, you must be able to delegate, gather, and set proper deadlines for that content, in order to meet your own deadline for the post.)
- Strong desire to learn and grow
This is a part-time, 15 hours/week, position with some flexibility in hours. Work is both on-site and remote, though, office is always available if remote is challenging.
The Marketing Assistant is paid as a flat-rate, annual salary, based on 15 hours per week, for $247.50 per week (paid twice per month, based on $16.50 per hour). This allows for flexibility in time and scheduling, as you won't necessarily be working a specific ‘shift’.
