Warm, engaged Brooklyn family of four is seeking a calm, steady, career-minded nanny to care primarily for their fun-loving 2½-year-old son. The family values professionalism, communication, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit. They are looking for someone who can provide structure, support emotional development, and create enriching days while partnering with hands-on parents in a warm and welcoming home.

The Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM
• 40 hours guaranteed
• Flexibility requested for occasional date nights and lite schedule adjustments, with advance notice

• As soon as we meet you, we are ready!

The Child(ren):

2 children

• 2½-year-old boy who is bright, all boy, and sooooo much fun. He is having some big feelings, very typical for his age, and is learning to express them and manage them. He thrives with a calm, rock steady, patient adult who can help him regulate and reflect. He is affectionate and playful once comfy with you and loves books, movement, outdoor adventures, and variety in his day.
• His current nanny has done a beautiful job helping to instill age-appropriate manners, kindness toward others, and independence as soon as he shows signs of readiness.
• He will be starting a morning Montessori 2's program two blocks from home in the fall. Weekly activities include MyGym, art, swim lessons, and a seasonal summer forestry class in nearby Prospect Park.
• Big sister is about to turn 8 this summer. She is a bright and lovely girl who visits part-time and enjoys playing and bonding with her younger brother when here. She adores him. Your role focuses mainly on the little guy.

The Role:

• Full-charge care including planning enriching, age-appropriate days including reading, sensory play, outings, and movement
• Confidently support emotional development by remaining calm through tantrums and speaking with him afterward about feelings
• Establish structure and routines, including encouraging tidy habits, helping him clean up after play, and practicing good social skills through positive role modeling
• Prepare nutritious meals with a wide variety of cuisines, textures, and flavors
• Child-related laundry, organization, and maintaining tidy play spaces
• Comfortably navigate a multi-level home with stairs
• Build consistency while collaborating with hands-on parents
• Occasional lite domestic and international travel possible

You:

• Unflappable, calm, and patient, especially during toddler transitions and big emotions
• Warm, kind, collaborative, and professional
• Strong toddler experience and sound judgment
• Engaging, active, and organized with an interest in child development
• Proactive about structure and routines while staying flexible
• Great cook for children with a focus on healthy, varied meals
• Comfortable working in a home with active hands-on parents
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to renew
• Up-to-date on all vaccines, including flu vaccine
• Swimmer required
• Driving is a nice plus
