Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Brand Adherence & Instructional Quality
- Complete and maintain BODYBAR Instructor certification and serve as a subject matter expert on the BODYBAR method.
- Design and implement systemwide instructor quality programs and fitness brand standards.
- Act as a liaison between the Fitness Department and franchise studios to ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality classes.
- Conduct regular studio audits and performance assessments (up to 50% travel required).
- Support onboarding, training, and mentorship of Fitness Managers, Master Trainers, and instructors.
- Provide ongoing coaching, one-on-one development, and group education opportunities.
- Partner with the VP of Fitness to design and launch new curriculum and continuing education initiatives.
- Assist with new studio presale support related to fitness staffing, readiness, and instructional launch.
- Manage relationships with BODYBAR’s approved fitness vendors.
- Support the implementation of vendor onboarding processes for new studios.
- Monitor vendor utilization and ensure compliance with fitness tools, platforms, and training systems.
- Maintain department SOPs, training documentation, and project workflows to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Lead and support fitness-related projects including new program rollouts and national education initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, Studio Development) to align strategies and timelines.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs related to instructor performance, class utilization, and member engagement.
- Identify trends and areas for improvement through data-driven insights.
- Provide recommendations and strategies to enhance systemwide fitness performance.
- Represent the BODYBAR brand at studio visits, corporate events, and industry conferences.
- Teach BODYBAR classes in the field or during training events, as needed.
- Champion BODYBAR’s values of inclusivity, wellness, and empowerment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, exercise science, fitness management, or a related field.
- Comprehensive Pilates certification and/or equivalent national fitness certifications (e.g., NASM, ACE, AFAA).
- 5+ years of experience in fitness management, with 2-3 years of leadership experience within a fitness or wellness brand preferred.
- Proven experience in program development, fitness education, and leading a fitness team.
- Background in Pilates or other fitness modalities is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metric reporting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
- Deep knowledge of fitness trends, Pilates instruction, and fitness studio operations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Passionate about fitness and wellness with a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing company.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing business needs.
- Willingness to travel for on-site studio visits (up to 50%), assessments, and training as needed
