Job Description Overview
BlueWater is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Support Lead
to join our team in support of critical Missile Warning Space Operations. The
ideal candidate will have extensive on-console experience in missile warning
operations, with a strong background in operational level maintenance and
anomaly response. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the effective
operation and maintenance of missile warning systems.
Responsibilities
Lead operational support activities for Missile Warning Operations, ensuring
the effective execution of on-console operations.
Monitor and analyze system performance, responding to anomalies and
operational issues in real-time to maintain mission readiness.
Coordinate and execute operational level maintenance activities, ensuring
that all systems are functioning optimally.
Develop and implement procedures for anomaly detection, reporting, and
resolution, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and
recommendations for system improvements and operational efficiency.
Conduct training and mentorship for junior personnel on operational
procedures, incident response, and maintenance practices.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of operational activities, including
incident reports, maintenance logs, and performance metrics.
Stay current with advancements in missile warning technologies and operational
best practices.
Participate in after-action reviews and lessons learned sessions to
continuously improve operational processes and responses.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related
field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Missile Warning Space
Operations with on-console experience.
Strong understanding of operational level maintenance and anomaly response
procedures.
Familiarity with missile warning systems and their operational requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Must possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance at the time of proposal submission.
Strongly desire 10+ years of experience in SBIRS or Overhead Persistent
Infrared (OPIR) domains and 5+ years of experience in OPIR Data
Exploitation or Battlespace Awareness mission areas and 4+ years of
testing, integration, and operations support on FORGE.
