The Parks Downtown Maintenance Worker is a job where you'll be working
outdoors in the downtown urban corridor helping to maintain cleanliness,
interacting with the public, and learning horticultural as well as green
industry standards, landscaping techniques and irrigation practices.
You'll perform a variety of duties including simple
mechanical/construction work, pruning, mulching, weeding, and
planting, which are practical and in demand career skills.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with infrastructure and grounds maintenance of City parks and downtown
- Operate (after provided training) a variety of equipment including
- Clean and remove waste from all areas of the downtown corridor.
- Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers, ash trays and cigarette
- Collect recycling materials.
- Clean and pressure wash owntown sidewalks and public spaces.
- Assist with irrigation maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with snow removal.
- Assist with maintenance of downtown water features.
- Perform event prep and clean-up.
- Perform simple tasks related to carpentry, painting, electrical,
