You support our team as

Product Development R&D Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop raw materials, processes and products to support the business strategy including new product design or product/process enhancement.
  • Define and execute projects using stage gate methodology.
  • Provide support to commercial team and customers for implementation of new processes/products and customer issues.
  • Establish process/product parameters (settings, properties and specifications).
  • Define and implement methods to improve productivity, capacity and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering is required. Bachelors Degree in Chemical or Textile Engineering is preferred. Masters Degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in product development or manufacturing role with project management experience, preferably Stage Gate.
  • Prior experience in melt spin/draw/winding fibers, spun-bonded nonwovens, and operation of major chemical process equipment desired.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment and on multiple projects simultaneously, as well as, the ability to interface effectively with other functions
  • Project management skills (stage-gate, time management, prioritization), well-developed analytical problem solving (root cause, 8D), applied scientific/engineering/math principles and experimentation techniques/principles (DOE)
