Position Summary

As a Region Manager you will be entrusted to develop and coach a team of District Managers in their efforts to build and coach their front line leaders in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience, operational excellence, and a working environment that promotes engagement and living the Company values, making EG America the clear choice for our guest’s every day needs. In this role you will direct and oversee the performance of all District teams to achieve Region, Division and Company net profit performance objectives.

Responsible for directing and supervising activities involved in developing and operating a group of brand locations in an assigned area to maximize sales and profitability. Responsible for coaching and development of associates to achieve and execute all goals and company strategies. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Brand Partner programs and execution of the Standards set forth by the Brand Partner.

Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrate leadership attributes to include: building and maintaining trust with the District Managers and res teams by setting clear and measurable goals, holding self and others accountable, and communicating frequently and effectively.
  • Oversee strategic plan for growth in their region, evaluating new industry sites and performance metrics.
  • Build and foster professional and value oriented relationships with key departments throughout the company.
  • Build field leadership team by: identifying and developing internal talent and hiring external talent to prepare for future staffing needs.
  • Analysis of financial reports, P&L, Gap analysis, etc. Monitoring current sales, expenses, store labor costs and inventory control. Evaluating and disseminating data for strategic gain, coaching District Managers towards improving profitability – presenting insight and trends to senior leadership as needed.
  • Ensures regional territory wide guest satisfaction and product quality while managing safety and security within the territory.
  • Heavy emphasis on food service, increasing sales, monitoring food service standards and safety.
  • Travel to brand locations and lead store development and store management in the planning, implementation and execution of the site, merchandising and operations initiatives of the Brand partner.
  • Oversee that all locations are providing the customer service that meets or exceeds the Brand standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain high standards of brand location image ensuring that all stores are clean, well-stocked and ready for business according to company and brand partnership standards.
  • Accountable for building store sales and gross profits through implementation of Brand merchandising, advertising, policies, procedures and programs.
  • Serve as a proactive leader of the brand, evaluating and implementing new opportunities for expansion of the Brand within the region
  • Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Vice President

Working Relationships: Restaurant team members, District Manager, VP of QSR, Human Resource Business Partner and Human Resource Centers of Excellence, Facilities Maintenance, Marketing, Risk Management, Environmental, Legal departments, etc.

Requirements

Minimum Education: Associates in Business, 10+ multi-unit retail/QSR experience may be used as a substitute

Preferred Education: Bachelors in business, or a closely related field. May substitute for a portion of the required experience.

Minimum Experience: 15 year retail experience and 3-5 years as a District Manager with multi-unit retail experience or restaurant general management experience. Has excelled in all areas of Division performance.

Preferred Experience: Proven history of retail management experience ore restaurant multi/general management experience

Licenses/Certifications

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent team building and leadership practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and ability to learn additional programs as needed
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and constructively handle various issues that arise
  • Strong analytical skills

Travel 95% traveling from location to location

Hours & Conditions Typically Monday – Friday for a 40-50 hour work week (depending on the needs of the Company and travel required), occasional weekend work may be required depending on the business needs.

Physical Requirements: Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp and grip..
