Summary/Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building high-performing teams from the ground up. As a Scrum Master, you will mentor your teams to embrace agile principles and practices, with a strong emphasis on establishing fundamental agile ceremonies and practices that drive efficiency and predictability, such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Essential Functions

Agile Leadership (50%)
- Build robust agile and team practices from the ground up with matrixed teams. Partner with other Scrum Masters to ensure strong and aligned practices across the organization.
- Champion agile principles and practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. Ensure the team is hitting target deliveries and creating predictable velocity.
- Create and facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment within the team.
- Proactively remove impediments for the team, fostering an environment conducive to collaboration and productivity. Ensure a smooth and efficient development process.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve impediments and ensure smooth sprint execution.
- Facilitate team discussions and decision-making processes, empowering the team to be self-organized and manage issues, risks, and dependencies.
- Actively participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives to assess progress, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement in both the product and process.
- Track and report the team's progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely delivery of features/work. Utilize team metrics and reports such as velocity or burn-up charts.
- Use team metrics to drive improvements. Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance team performance. Implement strategies based on metrics to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to help prioritize work in a way that aligns with dependencies and objectives.
- Solicit feedback from stakeholders and customers to inform product decisions and enhancements, fostering a customer-centric approach.
- Drive process improvements and best practices within the team and across the organization.
- Engage in Communities of Practice (CoP) meetings to promote learning and growth across the organization.
- Coach and mentor the team and leaders on agile principles and practices, driving adoption and growth.
- Partner with vendor partners ensuring we break down silos and implement work in an efficient, collaborative, and incremental manner.

Education And Experience Required
- Diploma/Degree & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 4 years Scrum Master or related work experience required.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
