Senior Director of Operations - South Georgia

Purpose

To ensure the operational processes, clinical compliance, quality assurance, training, education, implementation of all policy and procedures are being upheld. Maintains communications to COO and executive leadership regarding Region’s status, operational updates, relevant leadership & staffing status & plan, also their tasks to deliver the highest quality of care while always assuring the CRH Healthcare mission, vision and values are met at all centers.

General Description

The Senior Director of Operations (SDO) will serve as a visible leader and oversee all day-to-day operations in all their assigned centers. He / She will work in conjunction with their RDO/s, AMD/s and DCS/s. He / She will keep the corporate leadership aware of issues or concerns that may require their intervention. He / She will improve patient volume and revenue comps as well as clinic closures. SDO will oversee the patient experience by ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. The SDO will conduct periodic thorough clinic reviews on a regular basis and will work closely with RDOs and RCCs to ensure all Quality assurance and compliance is upheld. The SDO will ensure that their regional leadership team and center employees adhere to established company policies, procedures, protocols, and governing regulations.

Qualifications

  • Individual must be a college graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have significant experience related to healthcare.
  • Must have at least 3 years managerial experience.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and State/Federal regulations governing medical services to include lab, x-ray, and medication administration.
  • Ability to travel amongst multiple centers with some overnight travel required.
  • Must be organized and have ability to multi-task and maintain detailed records.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must have high level communication and collaboration skills
  • Must have critical thinking skills and ability to resolve complex issues as they arise.
  • Must be an effective team coach who contributes valuable ideas and feedback and can be counted on to meet commitments.
  • Ability to supervise, train and evaluate new and current staff.
  • Proficient to use and train others in common PC application including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint) as well as EMR and Practice Management software solutions.
  • Superior patient service skills to handle escalated issues.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare.

Working Relationships

The Senior Regional Director of Operations plays a viable role in ensuring the compliance of quality control measures and policy and procedures regarding all aspects of operations. He/she will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and will consult medical/clinical processes with the Area Medical Director, and the Chief Medical Officer. The individual will work closely with their Regional Directors of Operations, Regional Clinical Champions and Directors of Clinical Services at each center to ensure operational excellence.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the overall operations, Policies and Procedures.
  • Works with Regional leadership to ensure all centers are staffed appropriately, open timely and fully operational every day.
  • Responsible for financial performance of assigned centers
  • Knowledge of and responsible for upholding State and Federal regulations related to laboratory, x-ray and medication administration and dispensing.
  • Implements and maintains OSHA policy and Procedures; Works with all regional leaders to ensure OSHA compliance at the center level and ensures reporting requirements are complete and accurate.
  • Oversees and participates in the development, implementation, and documentation of training and staff development programs in conjunction with HR, EPS department and training department.
  • Works in conjunction with the RDOs to maintain budgetary performance and ensure supply inventory and equipment needs are met.
  • Works in conjunction with the RDOs to ensure centers are staffed appropriately, staff are trained and competent.
  • Works with RDOs to ensure billing issues are resolved, financial data is approved, submitted, and handled appropriately.
  • Works with RDOs to ensure frontend registration processes are followed and registration errors rates are minimized.
  • Identifies community marketing opportunities and engages in grassroots marketing to improve volume and brand within the communities.
  • Perform center visits to review all aspects in detail of operational performance ensuring that all quality assurance and compliance requirements are completed, reported, and recorded accordingly.
  • Oversee and maintains all documentation and records as required by CRH Healthcare and state/federal regulations.
  • Oversee integrity and maintenance of all equipment to ensure the safety of employees and patients.
  • Ensures proper utilization of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Assist in overseeing all required renewals of registrations or certifications of assigned centers.
  • Acts as a resource to staff regarding all operations issues to include lab and x-ray.
  • Communicates to the appropriate corporate and/or regional leadership regarding any situation that might require their attention in a timely manner.
  • Assists Leadership in planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring operational quality and quality assessments.
  • Assists in staff meetings and will attend them as needed.
  • Oversee interviewing, on boarding and training of all staff.
  • Oversee all lab quality control requirements, logs, and checklists.
  • Oversee preparation of any state or federal inspections.
  • Attend inspections to answer any questions the inspectors may have during the inspection as required.
  • Subject matter experts in operational roles and responsibilities in day-to-day center operations.
