THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
The Sr. Director of Value Realization will lead the development and execution of Ulta Beauty’s enterprise-wide value realization strategy within the Enterprise Transformation Office. This role is responsible for building a high-performing team, driving measurable value from transformational initiatives, and aligning efforts to strategic and financial goals. Success requires strong enterprise thinking, financial acumen, influential communication, and the ability to lead through ambiguity while ensuring cross-functional accountability.
Core Responsibilities
The pay range for this position is $201,900.00 - $230,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. The Sr. Director of Value Realization will lead the development and execution of Ulta Beauty’s enterprise-wide value realization strategy within the Enterprise Transformation Office. This role is responsible for building a high-performing team, driving measurable value from transformational initiatives, and aligning efforts to strategic and financial goals. Success requires strong enterprise thinking, financial acumen, influential communication, and the ability to lead through ambiguity while ensuring cross-functional accountability.
Core Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the Value Realization Office with the SVP of Enterprise Transformation, including vision, team development, and enterprise-wide operating model.
- Serve on the Enterprise Strategy & Transformation leadership team; partner across the transformation ecosystem to define and execute the enterprise value roadmap aligned to strategic and financial objectives.
- Lead VRO governance and ways of working across transformation teams and cross-functional leaders.
- Drive prioritization across the enterprise initiative portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and measurable business value.
- Independently manage value cases for complex enterprise initiatives, from opportunity identification to benefit capture, with strong financial oversight.
- Collaborate with FP&A, IT, Accounting, Continuous Improvement, and other business areas to ensure rigorous value measurement and realization.
- Advise and influence senior program leadership through critical program milestones (e.g., scoping, value case development, change control).
- Define and monitor key metrics across the transformation portfolio; conduct variance analysis and identify corrective actions where needed.
- Provide regular updates to senior leaders with clear, concise, and insight-driven communications on value delivery status.
- Strategic Thinking: Brings an enterprise-first mindset; aligns initiatives to long-term strategic goals and value drivers.
- Financial & Business Acumen: Applies strong quantitative skills and deep understanding of value levers to shape decisions and ensure accountability.
- Influential Communicator: Synthesizes complexity into clear insights; tells compelling data-driven stories that drive alignment and action.
- Visionary Executor: Translates vision into execution; thrives in ambiguity and brings clarity to roles, priorities, and enterprise objectives.
- Accountability: Operates with an ownership mentality; takes responsibility for delivering value across boundaries and unstructured spaces.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in value realization, financial planning & analysis, financial reporting, or post-merger integration—ideally in a strategy consulting firm or complex retail environment.
- Proven success in leading value identification and capture efforts across large-scale transformational initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with demonstrated financial acumen and enterprise perspective.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to distill and convey complex ideas simply and persuasively across executive and functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with program management, change management, and strategic planning disciplines.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and value treatment preferred.
- Highly collaborative; demonstrates effective cross-functional leadership and influence at all organizational levels.
- Viewed as a trusted advisor and capable leader with the ability to navigate ambiguity and independently drive strategic initiatives.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills; thrives in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
- High emotional intelligence and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

- Travel: Less than 10%.
