Job Summary
Dominion Energy is hiring a Senior Investigator to join its Corporate Intelligence and Security (CIS) Investigations team headquartered in Richmond, VA. This specific role will require the candidate to live and work in the Tidewater Region of Virginia (Williamsburg, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach). Ideally, the candidate will maintain a consistent presence in the Norfolk or Hampton District Offices. The candidate will report to leadership based in Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities Of The Position Include The Following
10+ years experience in law enforcement, corporate security, regulatory, or other investigative organization, with at least 7 years in an investigative role. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year).
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Criminal Justice; Police Science; Homeland Security; Law Enforcement
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Responsibilities Of The Position Include The Following
- Conducts complex and sensitive investigations into issues of significant consequence to the company.
- Documents investigative findings in the case management tool with attention to timely reporting and proficient case management.
- Adheres to and enforces company policies.
- Conducts investigative interviews with internal and external subjects.
- Serves as Company's agent in matters requiring criminal prosecution.
- Provides critical liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement.
- Provides armed, protective support for executives and employees, as required.
- Serves as a member of the Armed Responder Program and participates in recurring firearms proficiency training.
- Develops and maintains a variety of public and privileged information sources to support investigative function.
- Provides security leadership in response to all emergency contingencies.
- Manages and responds to threats impacting company facilities and/or personnel.
- Willing to participate in an on-call rotation to respond to work-related demands outside of regular working hours, including weekends, and holidays.

- Must have specific experience conducting complex investigations.
- Proven record of liaison experience and maintaining relationship with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.
- Ability to work alone, be self-sufficient, and autonomous while representing the company and CIS in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to work in a maritime environment and comfortable operating in an offshore capacity as required to support DE offshore interests (i.e. Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind).
- Knowledge and experience dealing with specific issues associated with providing/ensuring physical security, for personnel, facilities, or both.
- Strong record of obtaining high quality investigative results.
- Understanding of legal issues related to investigations.
- Understanding the assessment of security risks.
- Consistent demonstration of sound decision making.
- Consistent demonstration of critical thinking skills in a security environment.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to manage the flow of sensitive intelligence information.
- Ability to obtain government-issued security clearance, as required.
- Ability to meet and maintain the Corporate Security eligibility requirements to carry a concealed firearm.
