We are searching for the best talent for Principal Engineer, Blueyonder to be in Shepherdsville, KY.

Purpose: As a Software Engineer you will be working on the Software Infrastructure team, helping to develop the infrastructure software that controls a real-time robotics system. These are the applications that empower the clinical staff to safely and effectively interact with the medical robotic system. You will be interacting closely with Clinical and System Engineering to test and develop clinical and user requirements. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who is interested in revolutionizing the world of medical robotics.

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a focus on C++ and Linux to join our team to work on our distributed software system. The Software Infrastructure team focuses on system management software to handle POST, case tracking, internal host/application monitoring, and power management, as well as software infrastructure topics to handle fault/notifications, application communication, logging, and system configuration.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Work with software and other engineers (clinical, systems, mechanical, electrical) as part of a focused cross-functional team developing software for medical robotic applications.
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
  • Work with engineering teams to support their business requirements.

Qualifications - External

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

  • Minimum B.S (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with Hardware and product bring up is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Linux is preferred.
  • Experience with Networking in a distributed system is preferred.
  • Experience with Python, CMake, Bash preferred.
  • Experience working in medical devices is preferred.
  • Position is located in Santa Clara, CA and may require up to 5% travel.

Additional Information

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 70,000 to 112,700.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
  • Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
