Riega Foods, LLC, is a family owned and operated organic herb, spice, and spice blend manufacturer in Kansas City, MO. We are a fast-growing company looking for a Supply Chain Business Analyst to join our team. This position is in-person at Riega’s plant in Kansas City, Missouri. Successful candidates will be able to work 40 hours per week, with actual working hours flexible between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The Supply Chain Business Analyst (SCBA) performs a crucial role in optimizing supply chain operations through advanced demand planning and data analysis. The SCBA will manage the demand and supply forecast models, analyze variances, and drive improvements in the forecasting process with internal and external stakeholders. The SCBA also maintains real-time data to support industrial sales order confirmations and industrial and retail order allocations.

Additionally, the SCBA coordinates financial reports for executive-level Supply Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings, and assists in setting standard costs. The SCBA will develop and analyze scorecards for customers, suppliers, and operations and provide insights into production data for operational enhancements.

The SCBA is a power user for various systems and software including Cin7, Quickbooks, Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and Redzone, leveraging these tools to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Industrial Demand Planning – Lead weekly/monthly reviews and collaborate with Industrial customers and Industrial sales team to create an accurate 24-month industrial demand forecast.
  • Retail Demand Planning – Facilitate Retail demand planning meetings. Assist in creating 24-month retail demand forecast by incorporating information from internal sales teams and analyzing third party sales data.
  • Manage the demand forecast model and reports. Review and report on forecast to sales order variances.
  • Production Planning – Review current inventory against demand plan and open orders to identify production needs. Manage the production planning model, including the Rough Cut Capacity Plan model, and associated reports. Review and analyze Redzone and other production data to support operational improvements and development of Rough Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP).
  • Buy Supply Plan – Lead process to reconcile the Industrial demand forecast, Retail demand forecast, Production Plan and raw materials contracts/purchases with the budget. Manage the buy supply plan model. Support the development of a manageable Buy Supply Plan to procure ingredients and packaging.
  • Lead monthly Supply Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) demand planning meetings. Maintain monthly SIOP process decks for demand and supply planning. Maintain a table of big events and major risks.
  • Support reconciliation of any demand/supply imbalances identified in SIOP process; prepare summaries, including financial reports, for monthly Exec SIOP meetings.
  • Support day-to-day order allocation decisions with demand, supply and financial data analysis.
  • Set standard cost.
  • Support the development and analysis of customer, supplier, and operations scorecards.
  • Support financial analysis and internal and external financial reporting.
  • Support analytical needs for sales presentations and new product development.
  • Power user of Cin7, Quickbooks, Excel, BI software (Tableau, Power BI, etc.), Redzone.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex data and create actionable strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present reports and analyses to stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • APICS or other Supply Chain training
  • Experience in food, pharmaceutical or complex manufacturing

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, demand planning, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
  • Proven experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply planning.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and experience with business intelligence software.

Desired

  • APICS or other Supply Chain training
  • Experience in food, pharmaceutical or complex manufacturing

Reporting Structure: Reports to COO

Travel and On-Site Work Requirements: Occasional travel may be required. Work will be performed primarily on-site at Riega Foods’ Kansas City, MO offices during normal business hours. However, the Supply Chain Business Analyst will be expected to respond to urgent needs outside of normal business hours. Occasional remote work during normal business hours may be permitted with advance notice and supervisor approval, based on business demands.
