Certifications The YWCA of Western MA is dedicated to eliminating racism
and empowering survivors. The YW provides a safe place for survivors of
intimate partner violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and
homelessness. Our programs and services include crisis shelter and
transitional housing for survivors and their families, 24-hour bilingual
hotline, counseling, SAFEPLAN court and medical advocacy, HIV education
and intervention, and supervised visitation. The YWCA provides services
at several sites, including Holyoke, Northampton, Westfield, and our
primary Springfield campus. Position Purpose The SHP Director ensures
the daily operations of the YWCA\'s Supportive Housing Program, a
24-month residential program for survivors of domestic, sexual violence,
dating violence, and/or stalking. The SHP Director plans, provides,
facilitates, and/or coordinates services to 20 residential families.
Working directly with residents, the SHP Director provides support,
safety planning, crisis intervention, and housing navigation to move
residents to permanent housing. The YWCA\'s Supportive Housing Program
is grounded in survivor choice and housing first. Therefore, the SHP
Director will provide supportive services to all residents. The SHP
Director oversees new residents\' logistics, including working with
Wayfinders, who administer program-based vouchers, to ensure residents
have the proper paperwork. The SHP Director also manages leases, rent,
property inspection, and building maintenance. Lastly, the SHP Director
builds and maintains a community partner network that encourages
mutually beneficial referrals, creating a continuum of services for
survivors. Established partners include local law enforcement, the
Hampden County District Attorney\'s office, housing providers, daycare
Providers, And Workforce Development Service Providers. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree preferred, with 3 years of experience as a property
manager; Spanish language proficiency preferred; Experience with and
knowledge of accessing housing, homelessness, social service, and other
community-based resources; Experience with and knowledge of accessing
resources within the community; Understanding of both interpersonal and
structural racism and bias; Understanding of Low Income Housing Tax
Credit compliance and landlord-side compliance rules with respect to the
Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program; Familiarity with property
management systems / platforms; Excellent verbal, written, and
organizational skills, including strong computer skills; Access to
reliable transportation and valid driver\'s license; Must be able to be
covered by the agency\'s transportation insurance policy; Must be able
