The Technology Integration/Innovation Coaches are responsible for developing a vision and action plan for driving deeper learning through increasing innovation and meaningful, engaging technology integration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive action plan for professional learning and support for technology integration and other innovative practices.
  • Design with schools, teachers and students to understand needs and wants, ideate differentiated support to drive engaging learning opportunities for all students and staff.
  • Partner with school-based and district Teaching and Learning personnel on technology planning and curriculum integration.
  • Research and stay current on best practices related to Innovative practices such as STEM/STEAM and emerging technology while ensuring that the work connects closely with state standards.
  • Collaborate with school-based and district personnel on planning and curriculum integration.
  • Facilitate the design and leadership of teacher-led Innovation Cohorts, helping scale promising practices.
  • Support Schools of Innovation to serve as models of innovation and effective integration of best resources and practices.
  • Facilitate training using techniques that maximize learner participation, comprehension and application of the material.
  • Create, implement and evaluate training material.
  • Research and become proficient in use of new technologies for classroom learning.
  • Offer advice and support to staff and the IT team to implement and develop new ideas and modifications to existing software utilization.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees and principals.
  • Evaluate results of professional learning programs to determine the effectiveness on deepening teacher content knowledge, improving teacher pedagogical skills and/or increasing student learning.
  • Model and promote digital citizenship by facilitating safe, healthy, legal and ethical use of digital information and technologies.
  • Engages in continual learning to deepen content and pedagogical knowledge in technology integration and current and emerging technologies necessary to implement the ISTE Standards-S(students) and ISTE Standards-T
  • Works collaboratively with administrators, faculty, and staff.
  • Attends work regularly and arrives to work on time.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Adheres to the Teacher Code of Ethics.
  • Provide user technical support.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required.
  • Eight (8) years of successful experience teaching technology or STEM-related classes preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Apple software products required.
  • Experience with instructional design for online content preferred.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience in developing high quality training materials.
  • Skill providing technical support and training to staff and end users.
  • Experience in the execution of learning and development strategies.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Compensation

Salary is based on a combination of relevant education and experience.
