Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multilingual translation projects from initiation through delivery.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing project updates and addressing questions promptly.
- Coordinate with translators, editors, desktop publishing (DTP) teams, and other service providers.
- Assign translation projects based on linguist skills, qualifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and team performance.
- Manage existing and create new automated workflows within CAT tools, particularly Wordbee.
- Maintain and troubleshoot translation memory and terminology databases.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and efficiencies.
- Analyze project data and performance metrics to support continuous improvement.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies, systems, and responsibilities as needed.
- Degree in Translation, Interpretation, Localization, Linguistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in translation/localization project management.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CAT tools; Wordbee experience preferred.
- Knowledge of translation memory and terminology management.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong client service and relationship-building abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
- Fluency in one or more languages in addition to English is a plus.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- An effective communicator who can collaborate with clients, linguists, and internal stakeholders.
- Passionate about language access, localization, and delivering excellent customer service.
