This position reports to the President & CEO and will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing operations for the newly formed business unit. The primary focus will be developing and executing an integrated operations strategy which delivers low-cost, high-quality products and delivers industry-leading flexibility, quality and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
People Leadership
- Employ sound leadership skills to build trust and engage a high performance, results-driven, customer intimate team, who possess the aptitude, skills and drive necessary to meet their growth and financial objectives.
- Create a compelling vision, gain buy-in and support the team to execute on the vision.
- Implement regular two-way communication processes that ensure consistency of focus.
- Provide opportunities for Team Members to increase their effectiveness, achieve ambitious performance goals as well as their personal growth objectives to ensure appropriate succession strength.
- Develop a culture of execution through focused performance goal setting, coaching, letting neither good nor poor results go unnoticed and actively removing barriers to success.
- Provide and ensure sound, consistent operational processes built upon industry best practices and those that represent peak efficiency.
- Ensure the commitment to customer service is upheld through demonstrated decisions and actions made by the organization.
- Lead manufacturing operations strategic planning process, from development through to implementation, ensuring all business plans, operating and capital budgets support the organization’s goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish operations plans for growth opportunities including flexible manufacturing that can transform strategy into an actionable plan that delivers measurable business results.
- Direct the Project Engineering Teams to design innovative and leading-edge products that keep the company ahead of their competitors.
- Function as a member of the executive team and contribute to strategic management of the division and the overall Company.
- Recommend and implement strategic changes in manufacturing throughout the organization to achieve a world-class manufacturing management operation.
- Build and maintain B2B customer relationships (Dealers, Distributors and Retail).
- Manage and improve operations that feature a configured to order, high product mix.
- Implement the operations plan to drive significant process improvement to push bottom line performance.
- Lead plant level Supply Chain and Logistics to meet the needs of the customer, while reducing excess inventory and scrap.
- Define and expand the operations capacity; ensuring continued improvements and enhancements are made to operate in a safe, secure, efficient, and effective manner.
- Lead with appropriate reporting tools to monitor results with a focus of driving continual improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness of key business processes.
- Optimize resources, including inventory, facilities, budget dollars, physical and capital assets, and talent.
- Lead operations to drive a result for world-class service and distribution management operation.
- Build, develop, and manage an operations leadership team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies that support the business strategy.
- Recommend and implement strategic changes in manufacturing and operations throughout the organization.
- Travel as needed.
Skills/Experience Requirements
- Multi-site management experience across North America that includes new Plant start-up (in Mexico a plus), Plant consolidation, and Plant network cost structure reduction.
- Experience leading supplier qualification and selection in low-cost markets.
- ERP implementation experience with Oracle a major plus.
- Experience leading the Product Engineering function responsible for NPD and R&D.
- Experience with component manufacturing and final product assembly business that serves a very demanding customer base.
- Experience restructuring/simplifying manufacturing footprint and implementing automation.
- Ability to influence and interact within a matrix based organizational structure and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate with people all at levels of the organization. Must be comfortable on the plant floor and with customers.
- Possess an unconditional commitment to the highest ethical standards and a reputation for honesty and integrity.
- Previous training in Demand Flow, Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 900 preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree is required. MBA is preferred.
