THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

This position will be responsible for leading the Identity Management (IM) team within Ulta. The IM team is primarily responsible for end-to-end identity management life cycle. This position will be required to effectively manage the applications supporting the larger IAM responsibilities, including implementation, ongoing management and support. As team leader this individual will be responsible for direction, management and completion of projects to replace existing and introduce new solutions. The position will be responsible for the team vision and direction including introducing new, improving existing and removing obsolete solutions. The individual must keep up with current security topics, tools and techniques continually improving the security posture of solutions managed by the IM teams. This role will share responsibilities for achieving the security and business goals of Ulta, including collaboration and communication with the larger IT Risk management team and all of IT.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Application Support - Develops procedures and documentation for support of the enterprise identity management solution (OneIM). Manages application enhancements to improve business performance. Ensures that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures.
  • Research - Guides direction of research for evaluation, development, demonstration and implementation of IM solutions. Directs team to leverage resources to gain up-to-date knowledges of relevant fields. Manages reporting and communication of research for publication to the larger organization.
  • IT Service Management - Provide technical management of the team and ensure that all relevant procedures are followed. Direct maintenance and implementation work. Manage activities that support operational teams and assist in problem resolution, including root cause analysis. Manage the status and reporting within the team and outside of the team.
  • Problem Management - Manage the review of investigative actions to resolve problems in system, processes, and services. Bring the team to conclusion of root cause and remedies. Manage implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
  • Relationship Management - Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans. Negotiates with stakeholders at senior levels and ensures that organizational policy and strategies are adhered to.
  • Information Management - Develops and communicates the team’s security strategies to manage identified risks and ensure adoption and adherence to standards. Manages the process to assess vulnerability information and undertakes security risk assessments, business impact analysis and accreditation on complex information systems. Manages the development of information security policy, standards and guidelines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and lead the Identity and Access Management teams.
  • Maintains identities across multiple systems including clouds services.
  • Creates PowerShell scripts, as necessary, as well as running existing scripts.
  • Identify risks to Ulta's security landscape and participate in the annual risk assessment.
  • Lead initiatives as a technical expert and SME on enterprise projects pertaining to system management, capacity planning, identity and access management solutions.
  • Architect, design and build a secure and robust enterprise Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Google Cloud Platform, Enterprise directory and third-party software utilities.
  • One Identity Manager Expertise - Deep understanding of One Identity Manager’s architecture, including application servers, database design, synchronization engine, and web portal components.
  • Database Administration Skills - Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including writing and reviewing SQL queries for data validation, reporting, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Patch & Upgrade Management - Has the ability to plan, coordinate, and validate OneIM software patches, version upgrades, schema updates, and hotfix deployments.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting - Interpret OneIM Job Service logs, application logs, and event viewer data for diagnostics and issue resolution.
  • Identity lifecycle management and governance.
  • Manage identity provisioning, lifecycle updates, and business roles management within OneIdentity Manager, including management of the synchronization schedules for all connected systems.
  • Oversee and ensure the continuous performance, availability, and stability of the One Identity Manager platform, including database, application servers, web interfaces, and job services.
  • Manage integrations between OneIM and connected systems (Active Directory, Azure AD, HRIS, SAP, ServiceNow, cloud platforms) — ensuring secure, accurate, and automated data synchronization.
  • Works closely with the business to develop solutions that follow best practices and are cost effective.
  • Research and tests new technology develops solutions and creates documentation for the enterprise.
  • Perform infrastructure service implementations, performance analysis and optimization, monitoring, issue resolution
  • Assists in Root Cause Analysis and implements corrective actions to address issues (especially for complex or intermittent issues).

ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or applicable work experience.
  • 10+ years of IT experience with an emphasis on Identity Management
  • 5 years’ experience managing technology teams
  • Professional designation/certification, MCSE (optional).
  • Strong Communications, customer focus and leadership skills required.
  • Strong team player with proven experience and ability to collaborate with security professionals.
  • Proven experience and ability to manage problem resolution of complex or intermittent issues in a multi-vendor, integrated enterprise environment.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.
  • Solid knowledge of industry best practices and technical systems.
  • Normal office demands, ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Off-Hours support including 24x7 on-call required.

The pay range for this position is $119,300.00 - $170,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
